Revista De Spiritu et Anima a ajuns la numărul 10 și își păstrează originalitatea și atractivitatea, fapt dovedit prin varietatea subiectelor tratate și pe parcursul acestei ediții.
Astfel, încă de la primele pagini, Flaviu George Predescu aduce în atenția cititorilor prima dezbatere a revistei care a avut, poate, un subiect surprinzător: „Mai are rost să mergem la bibliotecă în era digitală?”, iar răspunsul s-a descoperit, împreună, de gazde și invitați.
De-a lungul timpului, BCU „Carol I” a beneficiat de donații importante ale unor oameni de cultură, prezentate detaliat de Filica Drăghici. De această dată, este vorba despre donația Lecomte du Noüy.
Din revista editată de o bibliotecă, nu poate lipsi cronica literară și, în prezentul număr, avem de-a face cu o recenzie semnată de dr. Valentin Filip, dedicată unui volum lansat în vara acestui an chiar în sediul BCU „Carol I”: Superpolitik de George Cristian Maior.
Continuă seria de biblioteci aduse în lumina reflectorului de către dr. Titus Lateș, fiind vorba acum, la sfârșit de an, despre Biblioteca Pedagogică a Casei Școalelor.
Întotdeauna este important să respectăm ceea ce a fost creat de antecesorii noștri și, în această tonalitate, putem descoperi, în articolul semnat de Andreea Badea, un volum din secolul al XVI-lea, aflat în colecția Bibliotecii Centrale Universitare „Carol I”.
Este luna decembrie și ne bucurăm de sosirea sărbătorilor și a vacanței. De aceea, Vladimir Pripp aduce acest spirit festiv prin articolul dedicat modului în care au evoluat simbolurile și percepția Crăciunului.
Deși ne place să nu ne uităm tradițiile și înaintașii, este absolut necesar să fim în permanență racordați la prezent și să privim concentrat spre viitor, pentru a asigura bibliotecilor aceeași însemnătate dintotdeauna în comunitate și în evoluția culturală. În acest scop, Silviana Boian prezintă în detaliu Strategia IFLA pentru 2024-2029.
Într-o rubrică devenită deja clasică, Ana-Maria Florea îi poartă pe cititori într-o călătorie imaginară spre o nouă bibliotecă a lumii – Biblioteca Publică din Oslo care ascunde, cu pricepere, inclusiv o bibliotecă a viitorului.
Articolul semnat de Maria Andreia Fanea aduce în atenție o altă personalitate care și-a dedicat viața existenței și dezvoltării bibliotecilor: Corneliu Dima-Drăgan.
Numărul 10 al revistei De Spiritu et Anima se încheie prin rubrica în cadrul căreia cititorii beneficiază de recomandări de carte făcute de Ana-Maria Florea; de asemenea, anul acesta, la fel ca în edițiile precedente, darul nostru de Crăciun constă și într-o rubrică de film dedicată, de această dată, Hollywoodului, pe când era mai tânăr.

The De Spiritu et Anima publication has reached its 10th issue, maintaining its appeal and originality. This fact has been proven by the range of topics covered throughout this issue.
Therefore, from the very first pages, Flaviu George Predescu brings to the readers` attention the magazine`s first debate, which had, perhaps, a surprising topic: “Mai are rost să mergem la bibliotecă în era digitală?” [“Is There Any Point in Going to the Library in the Digital Era?”], and the answer has been figured out together by the hosts and guests.
Throughout the years, the “Carol I” Central University Library has benefitted from important donations granted by people of culture that have been thoroughly presented by Filica Drăghici. This issue covers the Lecomte du Noüy donation.
A publication edited by a library couldn`t be without a literary review, and in this issue, we have a review signed by Dr. Valentin Filip, which covers a book launch that took place this summer, right at the “Carol I” Central University Library`s headquarters, namely George Cristian Maior`s Superpolitik.
The series of libraries brought into the spotlight by Dr. Titus Lates continues, and this time, at the end of the year, the focus is on Biblioteca Pedagogică a Casei Școalelor [The Pedagogical Library of the House of Schools].
It`s always important to respect what our ancestors have created, and in that regard, we can find in Andreea Badea`s article the story of a 16th century volume, found in the collections of the “Carol I” Central University Library.
It`s December and we joyfully await the holiday season, which is why Vladimir Pripp channels this festive spirit through an article dedicated to the evolution of Christmas` perception and symbols over the years.
Although we would like not to forget our ancestors and our traditions, it`s a must to always be anchored in the present and to look intently towards the future in order to assure that libraries have the same importance as always within the community and the cultural evolution. To that end, Silviana Boian comprehensively presents the IFLA Strategy 2024-2029.
In a column that has already become a staple of this magazine, Ana-Maria Florea takes our readers on an imaginative journey to a new world library – the Public Library of Oslo, which has skillfully sealed a library of the future.
The article signed by Maria Andreia Fanea brings forth another prominent figure who has dedicated his life to the existence and development of libraries: Corneliu Dima-Drăgan.
The 10th issue of De Spiritu et Anima concludes with the book recommendations signed by Ana-Maria Florea, and this year, just like in the previous editions, our Christmas gift consists in a movie section, this time dedicated to Hollywood in its youth.
